Pench: A National Park

National Park


The place which is use for the conservation of nature and natural resources and its flora and fauna such places is termed as National Park.In 1936, Jim Corbett National Park was first declared a National Park for the conservation of wildlife.

Purpose of the National Park.

  • To conserve the natural beauty, wildlife and natural heritage.
  • To promote the opportunities to understand and feel the nature and wildlife for public.
  • To promote the sustainable use of nature resources in that area.
  • To fence off the human beings and wildlife from each other.

National Parks in India

  1. Jim Corbett National Park
  2. Kaziranga National Park
  3. Pench National Park
  4. Nanda Devi National Park and many more.

 Pench National Park.

Pench National Park.

Pench National Park also known as Pench Tiger Reserve is the only national park to lie on both the parts of the states of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Pench Tiger Reserve recorded the highest number of tigers in India. It derives its name from its life line-the River Pench. Inside the park, the river flows from North to South before going on to join the Kanhan River.

Ramtek, Nagpur






             Ramtek, a town in Nagpur district of Maharashtra is a very good tourist place both for Religious people and Adventuresome people. Ramtek has a historical temple of Lord Rama . It is said Lord Rama rested while he was in the exile.
              The temple of Lord Rama also known as Gadmandir is situated on the top of the hill.
Near the temple there is a place called Ramzaroka from which you can get very scenic panoramic view of Ramtek town and the lakes surrounding the town. There are lot of monkeys present near the temple who used to snatch the food items or the things in your hands.

       Apart from Ram temple there are lot of places to visit near Ramtek like Ambala lake, Jain Mandir and Pench National Park,  etc.
